摘要 Abstract
Patterns of lung cancer clinical trials in Latin America andtheir implications for patient treatment access and research equityThis project analyzes patterns of lung cancer clinical trialparticipation in Latin America and their impact on patient access to innovativetherapies and research equity. It examines structural barriers limitingregional participation, including the scarcity of early-phase and later-linestudies, disparities in research infrastructure, funding, and molecular testingcapacity. The work also highlights the importance of including Latin America'sdiverse population in oncology research to improve the global representativenessof evidence. Finally, it explores opportunities for patient and researchadvocates to contribute to expanding clinical trial accessibility, strengthening collaboration among stakeholders, and promoting more equitableclinical research participation across the region.
